The hotel had a remote position near the historic ruined Norham castle painted by the artist Turner in the 19 th Century, Holy Island, Bamburgh, Alnwick and a private conservatory and the rear garden.

I stayed at Abbotsford B&B for a short leisure trip and was pleasantly surprised by its charm. The warm welcome and comfortable bed made for a great start. The room was well-equipped with complimentary toiletries, a fridge, and a fan. I appreciated the daily supply of bottled water and a variety of hot beverages. The hotel also provided travel information and a selection of reading materials. The breakfast, cooked to perfection by Sheila and Sandy, was absolutely delicious and set me up for the day. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for its lovely location and friendly hosts.

I recently stayed at Abbotsford in Norham for a night to break my journey and it was a wonderful experience. The hosts, Sandy and Sheila, were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. The room and bathroom were impeccably clean, cosy, and spacious. The breakfast, cooked to order, was absolutely delicious and served in a pleasant dining room with crisp white tablecloths. The location in the interesting village of Norham was ideal, with Norham Castle and a charming pub just a short walk away. I would definitely stay at Abbotsford again and wholeheartedly recommend it.
